Nick works at a crematorium where even opening a coffin can become a workplace incident. Alice is an underpaid fixer who expects every favor to become a future invoice. When a routine pickup involving Mr. Ragnar collides with a doomsday cult and another Ragnar awaiting a Viking funeral, their ordinary bad day becomes a body-identification nightmare. The confusion spreads through a morgue, crematorium, pizzeria, and increasingly questionable side jobs. With cultists demanding their leader, mourners expecting a beloved dog, and everyone assuming someone else checked the paperwork, Nick and Alice must stop the wrong body reaching the wrong fire
