What Is Cooking Wizards: Head to Head About?

The prize money from the Cooking Wizards Grand Final could keep Kaede Diner open. Kio chooses to make profiteroles, while Leo prepares an expensive steak and expects another easy victory.

The contest stops looking impartial when Brogan begins assisting Leo at his station. Vix notices what is happening, Kio refuses to step aside, and the player decides whether the characters challenge the favoritism directly or keep their attention on the food.

Meet the Characters

  • Kio Kaede: Chef and owner of Kaede Diner. She enters the final to earn the money her restaurant needs and chooses a technically demanding dessert for her last dish.
  • Leo Vale: A confident competitor with four titles and close ties to the company sponsoring the broadcast. He expects the stage, the judge and the trophy to work in his favor.
  • Chef Brogan: A three star chef known for harsh criticism. His role as an impartial judge becomes difficult to defend once he starts helping Leo cook.
  • Vix: The host of the Grand Final. Vix keeps the broadcast moving while drawing attention to the increasingly obvious favoritism onstage.

Episode 1: A Competition Already Rigged

Vix introduces Kio, Leo and Brogan before the mystery boxes are opened. Leo dismisses Kio’s decision to make dessert, while Kio can answer calmly or challenge his confidence.

Once cooking begins, Brogan moves beyond judging and starts guiding Leo through his steak. The player chooses how openly Kio and Vix respond. With six minutes remaining, Kio’s piping bag fails and leaves her dessert unfinished.

Episode 2: The Final Tasting

Kio attempts to repair the dessert before presenting it to Brogan. The tasting puts Brogan’s conduct under closer scrutiny and changes the balance between the judge and the sponsored contestant.

As Leo becomes more confrontational, the player shapes Brogan’s response and Kio’s handling of a business proposal connected to her recipe. The outcome remains inside the story.

Interactive Choices, Minigames and Bonus Scenes

Choices influence Kio’s replies, Vix’s commentary and the way Brogan responds to Leo’s pressure.

Both episodes also contain minigames connected to the cooking scenes. Strong performance can unlock Bonus Scenes with extra dialogue, character reactions or story details that do not appear in the standard version of the moment.
